Yarning Strong scoops the pool!

At the 2011 Australian Educational Publishing Awards Yarning Strong was declared the joint Overall Winner across the primary, secondary, TAFE and tertiary sectors.

The judges commented that 'this is true Indigenous publishing and very brave. It covers Indigenous issues and topics not usually discussed through Indigenous perspectives and without being patronising. It has great linkages to the curriculum and really gives teachers the necessary tools to discuss heavy issues. This outstanding new literacy resource is a valuable contribution to primary education.’
